My weekend...

So it all started on Friday night, the night where we usually go to church. We ate and stuff and got ready for church. Then I heard my cousin, Shower, telling my lola in her loud voice that Clyde said “just leave me here, I’m not going to church.” My lola got mad and told Clyde that he was going to church whether he likes it or not. So he ended up going along with his little brother (who by the way, is easily swayed by decisions made by his friends and family). We all sat at the mid-right section of the church, while Mr. Frowny-pants sat at the back of the church frowning. Well, I guess he’s just like that. Every time his parents are home, they never go the church (even on Saturdays), so I guess that’s why he was frowning back there… :D When I got home, half awake, I fell asleep. I had a dream that I had changed the security code on my fone (I put the code since people always steal my music and pictures and txt whenever they want to). I woke up around 8:30 and went back to bed. In the morning, I tried to open my fone, but the security code didn’t work, so I guess the dream wasn’t a dream at all.

Then Saturday came. I walked to Junno’s house only to find out his relatives were there, his mom and dad and his cousins and his aunt. I walked in and saw Junno being pounced by his cousins, they were about 10 and 12 years old, one girl and one boy. They lived there in Ireland, but they didn’t have an accent… Darn… After it was time to get ready for them, so me and Junno drove the bikes to the Pioneer guest house, I drove the girls while Junno drove the boys, but Junno made me drive the super powerful one, one twist and you could be driving 30 mph. It was scary cuz the 12 year old girl (Junno’s cousin) was like clinging to me and I couldn’t drive really fast or she’d make me crash. But luckily we got there safely, I hadn’t practiced my motor skills in a while so it was a good feeling and stuff. We drove back so Junno could change. So there I sat and waited for Junno to get ready for church, and I had a talk with his parents.

We went to church, but I went the high school church in the auditorium. I played for the prelude so that was it for participation. After church, I went to the tennis court box and ate my food, and I saw Ted and Ralph walking home. They stopped by to say hi, and we talked for a while. They like my watch, and called it a toy for the rich. I told them that its not a toy… Only sometimes… :D We talked about my watch, and they asked me whether I was rich or not, I told them no. Haha! Then they went on saying that Clyde said our family is rich (here we go again) and that Clyde went to Florida in 97’ and that he was supposed to go during winter break, they asked whether any of it was true. I just laughed, and smiled, and said “whatever Clyde says is his words, just ask him whether its true or not.” They left after a while to go eat. I ate at like two places (I was invited by people to potlucks so I was like okay) and ate there. I went to Junno’s house and we talked and stuff. I asked whether I could get on the internet to look for the master code of my fone so I could open it up, no luck. It was still locked… Boohoo… :D

So me and Junno talked for a long time since its been a while since we had a long conversation ever since I got moved up one grade higher than him so it was like old times. We had to move to the other single bed since his parents were going to sleep on the single sized bed, so me and Junno moved. We fell asleep (on that tiny single sized bed), and didn’t wake up till 3:30 to 4:00. It was great nap, but I didn’t have a dream even though we were crammed on the bed. Then I went to AY, Junno was gonna go somewhere with his family to eat along with some other people. Went home, and that was my day…

Sunday came, the day that the Fourth Year students were going to go swimming. Clyde went but totally neglected the fact that his cousin’s wedding was on Sunday. He’s a hard headed child… So we went to our aunts house during lunch time to eat, and she was wondering where Clyde was at. I was like, “he’s swimming with his (our) classmates at the pool.” She said something, I forgot the word though. It meant like insane or something, and I agreed. Heh, if he has a wedding, im gonna go swimming instead. So we went to the wedding, it was nice and my cousin looked pretty. BTW, the people that did my cousins hair was gay, and he looked FREAKY. Moving on… Yeah, the wedding finished so we took pics and went to eat. The food was average, but it was decent enough to gulp down. We went home and arrived around 8:00 pm. I was looking for Clyde since I had to ask him a question, turns out he didn’t come home yet. He told lola that he would sleep there and come home with his dad on Monday (which really isn’t a good idea, its like he planned to stay there). He likes to cling to his parents, just like his brothers. Where ever the parents go, they follow which sorta explains why they haven’t gone to church in a while. They really have to stop clinging to their parents, its so weird…

Desperate for INTERNET

So me and my cousin Clyde had to do a bit of research last Friday for my term paper. I think he was done so he just had to download stuff, I did some research for my paper, most of the time.

So we waited at the front of the gate for a jeepney to come along and take us to Valencia. But it never came. So we waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited and waited but still no luck.

So we decided to go walk to Lurogan, where a lot of cabbies go and wait for people. So we began our journey and started walking. It wasn’t so bad considering that the sun was shining pretty bright. Luckily the wind was blowing constantly. Pretty nice outside if you ask me…

On our way to Lurogan, there came a man on a motorcycle. He let us ride on it so we could get to Valencia for our internet purposes. We got on and boy what a journey. He drives pretty fast, and to just to let you know, the road is rocky so the bike would jump every once in a while. Clyde didn’t want to sit in the middle (what a girl) so I sat in the middle. Everytime the bike would jump, we’d always move forward closer and closer to the driver, and since I was in the middle, I felt like I was going to shove the guy off. And to prevent such things from happening, I had to stiffen my legs, and when I got off, I took a good look at my legs and I could see a six pack on my thighs! The man charged us 30 pesos EACH! THAT’S THE FARE PRICE WHEN YOU RIDE A JEEPNEY! So we paid anyway. He cheated us out of moolah…

So we went into the sanitarium, saw a dead person (someone had died a few minutes before we got there). We went to the fastest internet café in Valencia. Sotelco, its really close to NVM so we went in and went on the internet.

Can you believe how far we have to go for the internet? When will we ever get internet in this house?! Mom says that our uncle is supposed to have installed (but I see no results)… Very responsible…

NEwyears

Haha long time no update…
So heres how our new year went by…

So me and alecca had finished eating dinner so we decided that we should watch movies all night… We watched a whole bunch of movies, some she didn’t like so she just texted a few people.

Next door, theres a karaoke place that blasts a whole bunch of mp3 music. Some of the songs are okay, but they keep playing one song over and over again!!! It goes like this:

“APPLE BOTTOM JEANS (jeans)
BOOTS WITH THE FUR (with the fur)”

My gosh they keep playing it, I heard it like 15 times already in one night.
So when it finally turned midnight, me and alecca went outside to see if our cousins were blowing up stuff at the back. We walked out from the front and headed to the newly cemented area to see if they were blowing anything up. Nope, but we saw our lolo standing next to a bush (he was peeing), so me and alecca ran very quietly back to the room laughing and giggling… :D

Actually, the “fireworks” that they have are really annoying. They’re more of bombs, not fireworks. They explode and they’re very loud and stupid. JUST GET FIREWORKS, THE REAL ONES!!!

Termpaper madness

I just cant think of a topic think for my term paper. I’ve been working on my term paper for some time over the break, but everytime I choose a topic, there doesn’t seem to be much resources in the library. And the internet is no help at all because they all say the same thing, like people just copy pasted everything.

Our teacher Ma’am Aguillion wants us to have an internet source as well as a book resource for our paper. But, due to the limited supplies of books relating to my topic, there is no hope for me at all.

For example.

My first topic was about Ventriloquism, the art of throwing your voice to make it seem as if it is coming from somewhere else. Well, there were books sources, all of them said exactly the same thing. Ma’am wants five or three book sources. And the internet didn’t help either, it was just a whole bunch of how-to’s and what nots. It gave no background history of anything whatsoever.

My second topic was about manners, simple and short. Yeah, it may seem easy, but heck, the books didn’t help at all, copy-paste, and the internet sources are all the same thing!

Now, ma’am said to do something that you would think is cool and fun to you. But I’m not sure about anything anymore. I could do a biography on a person, but I don’t think dead people are cool and fun. So I pulled the ones that I thought might be in the books and would have a lot of resources on the net. I think they are interesting (cuz I like these subjects, I think they’re pretty cool).

Chinese History

Architecture

Martial Arts Around the Globe

Woodworking

Unsolved Mysteries

Yep, I thought they are all pretty cool, but I’m having a hard time trying to choose which one I want to write about. I’m moving towards architecture, but I would like to do unsolved mysteries to keep Ma’am interested in my paper. And I’d love to study about the Chinese history, but woodworking sounds like fun. And martial arts sounds really cool since almost every country has a hand-to-hand combat technique of self-defense, and it’d be pretty cool if I could learn something about it.

Oy, if this wasn’t so hard to choose…

Future Handyman

So, a few weeks ago (give or take a few days), I had a architecture project that involved wood cutting and gluing and stuff like that (read below for the architecture story). Well, my grandpa and uncle helped me that stuff, you know, the cutting, the sawing, that sorta stuff. I felt useless since all I did was give them the measurements and angles (that by the way, were complete accurate, in a way) so that they could chop it up.

SO, in order to revive my non-useless feelings, I decided to try to saw things today.
Yep, took me quite a while because I didn’t have a wood stopper or little thing to keep the wood from moving (my grandfather took it off). So anyway, it was pretty straight and a bit easier than I had thought, but if I had a stopper, then everything would be much better…

So, yeah, I feel great now that I know how to (partially) use a saw and stuff. I even learned how to mark angles and lines on a wooden block. Also how to mark the area that I’m supposed to cut. Now that I learned, its time for a project!

Its can be one of these:
A small wooden box/chest
Puzzle box (I have the blueprints)
A recreation of the pyramid project that I had
Or just about anything boxy I guess….

UPDATE (really small though...)

Well, I havent updated in a while, haha sorry mom and Rj and Nickssss..
I've been so busy with the term paper and the science powerpoint, i never had much time to write a full post for a blog... but heres whats going on...

Im in a little bit in a spot here. PSP or iPod? Hmmm....
I've been trying to decide for quite some time now. My mom has been bragging about her latest gizmo, and I'm stuck here listening to it while she rubs it in my face. She recently got an iPod Touch and shes going crazy, I think. But lately my whole family has been in the iPod craze. Auntie got an iPod touch, Dad got an iPhone, and of course mommy got a iPod Touch and an excuse to brag at her poor little son who has a broken iPod Video.

Ouch.
Well, mom said she went on friendster (with her ipod), and has been watching youtube on her iPod. no fair mom...

So anyway....

Architecture Gone Wrong

SO, this is how it goes down. The other high school students went camping and I’m stuck at home doing nothing, well, almost nothing. I’m working on the project that nobody likes to do except me (and playing pokemon at the same time). Its an architectural project in which a group of 5-6 students get together to create this one of a kind model of a structure that doesn’t exist, meaning we have to make it up on our own… The funny part is the one about the 5-6 students thing. We have 6 members in our group, and only 3 of them (including myself) are actually doing something. I’m doing the scaling and calculations of the whole thing. Design artist, Nicole Bayeta, is designing (quite reasonable since she is the design artist). RJ Gentapanan is our stylist, and my conscience in this whole thing (in case I get second thoughts).

Our other “members” are Mariel Cacho (who has to have everything done for her by other people), Honey Ray Calog (rarely see him), and Malcolm Ofiasa (who is absolutely no help at all).

Well, I was doing some calculating a few weeks back, and I had everything planned out. Turns out some of my calculations were wrong, and the pyramid was actually a tri-mid. Or, if you prefer pyramid with 3 sides (I’m not even sure if tri-mid is even a word). Yeah, and it gets even better, the “tri-mid” would usually have solid sides right? Well, lets just say it has holes in it. Luckily, saved by the teacher, recapped that “the buildings must be made up, and no stealing of designs from buildings already built”. Boy was I happy, I thought this was all my fault.

Design artist, Nicole, was actually expecting it to be a pyramid, and the whole thing was actually supposed to look like pyramids in Egypt, and that the pyramids were supposed to be in Egypt, and we were going to have sand everywhere and camels. BUTT (yes “butt”, its not a typo), the teacher had announced what she had announced and its all good…

BUTT (not a typo), theres this concept that I actually want to do. The “tri-mids” are actually, pretty cool looking. Cheah, thats awesome, isnt it? Hahaha well, I dont know, what do you think?

We are actually going to give it a nice varnish to make it look classy yet modern. Well, its up to our designer, yep. Our lolo is actually putting the hinges on it as we speak. If you are wondering about the hinges, the "tri-mids" are actually going to open up, and there will be something inside. Yeap, pretty cool huh? thanks to my dream job of being an architect (as soon as I'm done with nursing).
